Analysts from Flashpoint discovered websites “Luigi was right” and “The CEO Database,” which share the personally identifiable information (PII) of CEOs and executives from more than 1,000 organizations. With this information, malicious actors could possibly gain access to additional PII by conducting further searches on paid data aggregator sites or open source platforms.
“Luigi was right” was created in April 2025 and is likely a reference to Luigi Mangione, the individual accused of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson’s fatal shooting. As of May 29, 2025, the website appears to have been taken down. However, parts of the data can still be accessed via the Wayback Machine archive.
On May 29, 2025, an additional website was discovered: “The CEO Database.”
Information revealed on the websites may include:
- Organization names
- Job titles
- Full names
- Email addresses
- Mobile and office phone numbers
- LinkedIn URLs
- Websites
- Departments
- Company valuations
- Seniority
While analysts do not believe these websites post a notable physical threat to the listed executives, it is posited that the information could be used to harass executives instead.
